The staff of the center is comprised of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, physician assistants, cardiovascular nurse coordinators, perfusionists, cardiac anesthesiologists, and office staff.

The surgeons are all highly skilled doctors who work as a team. Our physician assistant assists in surgery, does hospital rounds and sees our patients for postoperative follow-up. The cardiovascular coordinators act as a liaison between the surgeon and the patient's cardiologist and referring physicians. In addition, the coordinators keep family members informed regarding the patient's status during surgery. The perfusionists are responsible for operating the heart/lung machine, cell saver, and intra aortic balloon pump, in addition to other related services.
